That’s it. This was the last blogging marathon on With Us Or Against Us! Now I’ve said all I have to say and wanted to say here. I’ve finally realized that I am only a human being, and as such cannot do everything at once, even if I want to. I have too many different projects going on at the same time and decided I need to focus on the more important things. No, not private life! I’m not THAT burned out yet that I care about health & personal happiness :)
I just want to put all my energy into my company KAISERBRAND and on the weekends into my new gallery, The Cheese Mountain Tragedy.
It was great fun having a blog like WUOAU! I think it’s a fine collection of internet treasures now: almost 1000 articles written in the five years between 2006 and today.
Thank you very much to everyone who participated in this project and thank you very much for reading With Us Or Against Us! I hope you enjoyed it a little.
Yours truly,
Herr Reimers

Das beste kommt zum Schluss! Or: good news for all monster lovers: the Zozoville Gallery will open a second gallery in Berlin Kreuzberg!! The new shop in Oranienstrasse will be called “Onkel Zozo” (the previous tenant was Onkel&Onkel, the publisher of the Zozoville Kalendarium and the MakeBelieve book).
The gallery “Onkel Zozo” will open in August 2011!
Since Christen won at Youtube Play with his 8bit animation “bear untitled” and the exhibition at Guggenheim NY last October, his artist career went off like a space rocket. Even I can’t give a full account of what happened in the months to follow, and I only want to pick out a few things that to me sound like a fairy tale.
He was invited to give a speech about creativity for 24/7 creative in Las Vegas, after which he was commissioned by Intel to do a short documentary about — HIMSELF!!
Then he won the webcuts.11 award with “The Animation Tag Attack” in the category Collaboratice Project. Soon after that he was invited by Lindsay Scoggins to take part in the group exhibition “Party Animals” at Royal/T in LA. That means his artwork hung next to masterpieces by Takashi Murakami, Jeff Koons, Yoshitomo Nara, KAWS, FriendsWithYou, Yoko Ono, Aya Takano and others. How insane is that! This is what Christen did for the show (at first glance mere acrylic paintings, but in black light more becomes visible — they’re called “Anatomy of a Party Animal”).
The exhibition “Party Animals” at Royal/T is open to the public for free entry through Saturday, September 24, 2011.
Oh, and of course he needs lots of business cards for all the people he meets. They are all hand-drawn, each with an unique illustration.
Scott Benson is one of the coolest animators I know (he was also working on the Animation Tag Attack). His illustrations & animation style are AWESOME and the best thing about him: he cares about storytelling!
Just have a look at his animated series for Riverlife’s “Living in a River City” and you’ll know what I mean. Riverlife is a nonprofit advocacy/guiding group for the redevelopment of the riverfronts in Pittsburgh.
Swantje, good friend of mine, just opened a cute shop in Berlin Neukoelln: Nadelwald.
Nadelwald is a Berlin-based co-sewing/co-working space for fashion designers, tailors, hobbyists, and anyone else in need of sewing machines, needles, fabrics, markers and nice people to get things done.
So stop buying crap at H&M and start doing your own things!

Strychnin Gallery — Gentle Giants
Opening night on July 15th 2011 from 7 pm
“Robots are a phenomenon which everybody is aware of and that is often viewed differently by many people. Today their origin, definition and purpose is widely discussed and not only their construction, technology and application range have drastically evolved, but the design, function and general perception of today‘s robots have changed in many directions.
Nowadays there are robots of any size, made from any material and built for any task imaginable. Furthermore, they have transformed from being solely tools to often depicted and thematised objects of popular culture as well as being subject and means of expression in the world of arts. Iconic stories and movies such as Terminator, Transformers, RoboCop, The Iron Giant or Walle have displayed the divided perception of robots as friends and humans‘ little helpers as well as a dangerous threat to society.
The creations of robot art take, interpret and shape the commonly perceived attributes of and also the views on robots and thereby give them even more meaning and personality. Strychnin Gallery’s ‘Gentle Giants’ will showcase a diverse selection of some of the most influential and innovative creations of robot art done by a well selected group of artists. The exhibition will focus on the gentle, smart, helping and almost human aspects of robots that are enriching our society.”
The list of participating artists includes: Michael Salter, Himatic, Doktor A, Mike Libby, Skeleton Heart, Seymour, Nemo Gould, John Lytle Wilson, SQUP, Caroline LeBreton, Stefan Fromberger and many more.
Hey those look cool! To bad I already have too many cameras and no time to play…
“You’ll love the oceanic hues of Fischers Fritze. This La Sardina camera is equipped with amazing wide-angle lens and a rewind dial that makes multiple exposures a breeze. This marine marvel will surely capture the most remarkable memories.
The Fritz the Blitz Flash is Lomography’s most powerful flash ever—this baby packs a punch! It has three distance settings, which allow you to have maximum control over your flash photography.
Together, this pair is raring to conquer your analogue world!”
Мультфильм про то, как можно жить в условиях полного дискомфорта, при этом содержать свое хозяйство. А в прочем у каждого свое мнение. Замечательный и очень оригинальный мультфильм

DANNY GRETSCHER – I forgot the title, but the spirits heard it.
